A point of land north of Lochinver is called Stoer Head (Rubha Stoer in Scots Gaelic). The peninsula is about 6 km long and 3 km wide, and has a number of small settlements (Balchladich, Clashmore, Raffin, Culkein and Achnacarnin). The most well-known place of the peninsula is beyond a doubt The Lighthouse of Stoer, where the walk to the Old Man of Stoer starts. For videos of the Lighthouse click here.
